Piano Circus has a long and fruitful association with Brunel University, where we have given countless concerts, classes, and workshops over two decades.
Today saw our first appearance in concert for four long years, thanks for the double-blow of the pandemic and then some nasty raac concrete found in the buildings of the music and arts departments…
But the delay made the concert all the more joyful and heart-warming, and it was a wonderful experience for us to play for the university students, faculty and distinguished guests once again.
Although our programme was a nod to the group’s history, celebrating 35 years since the commission of Graham Fitkin’s classic Loud, Line, Log, we hope this concert will be a beginning of a new chapter in the group’s position as Associate Artists at Brunel. Our next event will be composition workshops with Brunel students in January 2025, when we will play new and work-in-progress works and ideas by Brunel undergraduates and postgraduate composition students.
